12mm C-Mount lens for up to 1.1" sensors such as IMX304 and IMX253

The CIL512 is a 12mm C-mount lens for 1.1" sensors like the IMX304 and IMX253. It resolves 12MP at 3.45μm pixel pitch, the iris adjusts from F/2.8 to F/16, and focus runs from 80mm to infinity. This lens makes sense when you need more area coverage than a 16mm or 25mm lens can give you on the same camera.

The CIL512 holds -1.8% TV distortion across the 17.6mm image circle. That is a reasonable tradeoff for a 75° field on a 1.1" sensor, and many factory automation and inspection jobs will tolerate it without correction. If geometry matters more than coverage, the CIL513 at 16mm cuts distortion below -1% and narrows the field to 60°. You can compare coverage at field of view calculator

The lens uses an all-glass construction, which helps it stay in focus through temperature changes. The 186g mass also helps damp vibration on production equipment better than very light housings do. The 80mm minimum focus distance is unusually close for a 12mm C-mount lens, so the lens works well in tight inspection stations.

The standard C-mount thread fits FLIR, Basler, Allied Vision, iDS, Lucid Vision, and other machine vision cameras directly. This model does not have filter threads, so you should step up to the CIL513 or CIL514 if your system needs front-mounted filters. The CIL512 also pairs well with those two focal lengths when one platform needs several fields of view.
