The CIL217 is a compact M12 fisheye lens with a 1.7mm EFL and roughly 200° coverage at a 5.7mm image circle. The page lists it as a 3MP+ lens and calls out AR0234-class small surveillance sensors. Use it when seeing almost everything around the camera matters more than preserving straight lines.

This is a fisheye optic, so distortion is part of the projection rather than a defect to wish away. It is a good fit for small surveillance, occupancy, robotics awareness, and other wide-scene cameras. It is not the right first choice for dimensional measurement unless the image pipeline includes calibration.

The listed part numbers are CIL217-F2.7-M12A650 with a 650nm IRC filter and CIL217-F2.7-M12ANIR without a filter. The page title and description list IP67 protection, which is useful when the lens is exposed to dust, splashing, or outdoor camera housings.

Mechanically, the CIL217 uses an M12×0.5 thread. Check holder height and sensor placement during integration, because very short fisheye lenses are sensitive to lens-to-sensor spacing. In-stock orders placed before 12 PM PST ship same day from San Diego.
