C-mount lenses are 1"-32TPI threaded lenses primarily used in machine vision systems, factory automation cameras, and scientific imaging applications. Their standardized 1-inch thread and 17.526mm flange distance makes them easy to use and compatible with a wide range of industrial cameras.

Q: What is the Difference Between C-Mount and CS-Mount Lenses?

The key difference is the flange focal distance: C-mount lenses have a 17.526mm flange distance, while CS-mount lenses have a 12.526mm flange distance. C-mount lenses can be used on CS-mount cameras with a 5mm adapter but not vice versa. See our full page on lens mount compatibility.

Q: What Sensor Sizes Are Compatible with 1.2" C-Mount Lenses?

A: 1.2" C-mount lenses can be used on sensors and cameras smaller than 1.2", including 2/3" and 1.1".  On smaller sensors, the field of view will be cropped.
