CIL391 is a 3.25mm wide-angle M12 lens with 154° field of view on 1/2.3" sensors like the IMX477 and IMX577. It resolves 12MP, weighs 5g, and gives you GoPro-like coverage in a compact board-camera package. This lens is the practical choice when you need a wide module without starting the optical design from scratch.

TV barrel distortion is -16%, which is normal at this field angle. You will see that distortion, but standard software models can correct it if the application needs straighter lines. The 7.9mm image circle fully covers 1/2.3" sensors, and the 13.9° chief ray angle fits modern BSI CMOS sensors well. If you need sub-1% distortion, you should use a rectilinear M12 lens instead, because this lens is about angular coverage first.

The lens uses all-glass construction with an IP67-sealed M12A barrel and BBAR coating on the first surface. Commonlands offers three variants: CIL391-F2.2-M12ABR650 with blue-glass reflective 650nm IRC, CIL391-F2.8-M12A660 with standard 660nm IRC, and CIL391-F2.8-M12ANIR without a filter for NIR work.
