Frequently asked questions
What is the CLA219-ICR IR cut-off filter switcher?
The CLA219-ICR is a linear-magnet IR cut-off filter exchanger for M12 lens assemblies. It swaps between a 0.21mm 650nm IRC filter and a 0.21mm dummy glass for day and night camera operation.
How does the CLA219 differ from the CLA216 filter switcher?
The CLA219 has 18mm hole spacing, 9.5mm height, and a larger glass aperture for 1/1.7 inch sensors, while the CLA216 has 20mm hole spacing, 7.6mm height, and a 0.30mm IRC filter. The CLA219 also uses a linear magnet drive, which generally lasts longer in the field.
How do I wire the CLA219-ICR?
You connect the 2-pin 1.25mm JST connector to an H-bridge driver and apply 3.3V for 100-500ms. Positive on the red leadwire opens the filter, and reverse polarity closes it.
What sensors does the CLA219-ICR support?
The CLA219 glass aperture supports sensors up to 1/1.7 inch format. It works with any M12 lens ordered in the M12ANIR variant and pairs with holders such as the CLA019 or CLA024.
How many lifecycles does the CLA219-ICR last?
Commonlands guarantees at least 50,000 switching cycles. The linear magnetic drive typically exceeds 100,000 cycles in the field, but the guaranteed number remains 50,000.
Does the CLA219 ship same day from the US?
Yes. Commonlands ships in-stock accessories same day from San Diego for orders placed before 12 PM PST.
