Frequently asked questions
What is the field of view of the CIL350 35mm M12 lens?
The CIL350 provides a 16-degree diagonal field of view on a 1/1.7 inch sensor with a 10mm image circle.
What sensors work with the CIL350 35mm S-mount lens?
The CIL350 35mm M12 lens resolves 8 to 10MP on 1/1.7 inch sensors including the Sony IMX676 and similar sensors within the 10mm image circle.
How does a 35mm M12 lens compare to a 35mm C-mount lens?
A 35mm M12 S-mount lens is significantly smaller (14g vs 50-100g), lighter, and less expensive than a comparable C-mount lens. Choose M12 when size, weight, and cost matter and your sensor is 1/1.7 inch or smaller.
What applications use a 35mm telephoto M12 lens?
Common applications for a 35mm telephoto M12 lens include automated optical inspection, drone-based crop and infrastructure monitoring, long-range barcode and character recognition, perimeter security, and embedded vision systems requiring a narrow field of view to resolve small details at distance.
Does the CIL350 35mm M12 lens ship from the United States?
Yes. Commonlands ships all in-stock lenses same day from San Diego, California for orders placed before 12 PM PST.
Are .STP files and mechanical drawings available for the CIL350?
Yes. Mechanical drawings are on the product page. Contact engineering@commonlands.com for .STP 3D model files.
