16mm C-Mount lens for up to 2/3" sensors such as IMX487 and IMX250

The CIL533 is a 16mm C-mount lens for 2/3" sensors resolving 12MP and above at pixel pitches down to 2.1um. It covers sensors like the Sony IMX487 and IMX250 with an 11mm+ image circle, and the iris adjusts from F/2.0 to F/16. This is the focal length that usually works when 12mm still looks too wide and 25mm starts to feel cramped.

The CIL533 measures -0.1% from rectilinear at 0.5m working distance. That is low enough that most machine vision systems can skip distortion correction and keep measurement math simple. The optical design uses all-glass elements in a compact 63g barrel, and the front takes M27x0.5 filters. Focus runs from 0.1m to infinity, so the lens works in both close inspection cells and longer-range factory setups. The design also resolves pixel pitches as fine as 2.0um at F/2.0, which gives some margin for current high-density 2/3" sensors.

The standard C-mount thread and 17.526mm flange distance let the lens fit Basler, FLIR, Lucid Vision, Allied Vision, and similar industrial cameras directly. The mechanics are straightforward, and the 16mm focal length is straightforward to deploy because it rarely pushes the system into optical extremes.
