OV2312 is an OmniVision 1/2.9-inch global-shutter CMOS image sensor from the OmniPixel3-GS family, with an RGB-Ir color filter for simultaneous visible and near-infrared capture in driver monitoring and biometric systems. It delivers 1600x1300 (2.1MP) on 3um pixels at 60 fps over MIPI CSI-2 or DVP/parallel. The rectilinear formula FoV = 2 × arctan(dimension ÷ (2 × focal length)) is incorrect for many lenses as it doesn't include distortion. Confirm the lens image circle covers the 6.18 mm diagonal so the corners are not cropped, and check the lens resolution is rated for 2.1 MP or higher so it resolves the 3.0 µm pixels.
